The Nordic Creative Talent Award – Established by Adobe in association with Cap&Design – Celebrates the most outstanding talents under 28 years of age, active within the fields of graphic design, digital art, photography, video, motion graphics and imagination.

Lisa Careborg is the Creative Director and a partner at the Swedish branding agency Happy F&B. She works with some of Sweden’s biggest brands as well as international clients developing brand strategies, corporate identities and packaging design. Her work has been honored with more than forty gold, silver and bronze awards. Lisa, who was educated at Central Saint Martins in London, has been a visiting lecturer at several design schools and a member of numerous design juries, such as Clio, D&AD and New York Festivals.

Since graduating from Kingston University in London in 2008, Sanda has worked as a graphic designer and art director for various UK companies, including Net-A-Porter, Portas and Antidote. After seven years in London, she moved back to Norway to work as a graphic designer at Melvær & Lien. In 2013, she was appointed the creative director and a board member. She is currently working as the CMO at ANTI.

Awarded in-book and nominated at D&AD 2008 and 2011. Published in several books and blogs. In 2013, she was part of Norway's first team to compete in Young Lions design category. She was also a member of Visuelt graphic design jury in 2014, and the jury leader in 2016. Gullblyanten design jury in 2015 and the jury leader in 2016 and a member of the D&AD branding jury in 2015. For four years, she took part in organizing Kreativ Forums advertising and the design competition Sterk Reklame.

Joni is an award-winning creative director and designer who has worked in the creative industry for close to 20 years. With clients such as Seppälä, Reima, Elisa, Paulig and various other major Finnish brands, Joni has led the creative strategies and productions with a passion for creative excellence. His list of merits includes nationally and internationally awarded work i.e., in Cannes Lions, Eurobest, Epica, NY Festivals, Cresta, Effie, Golden Drum & Golden Hammer.

Designbolaget

Designbolaget is a Copenhagen based graphic design studio working at the intersection of art and culture. The studio’s clients are located in and outside of Denmark.

The studio is a strong believer in conceptual thinking and original ideas to design bespoke solutions for every assignment, regardless of the actual project scale. Designbolaget primarily focuses on printed matter, with great attention paid to detail and tactile finishing.

Claus Due has been recognized with numerous international awards – lately the Type Directors Club in New York for his work with The National Gallery in Denmark.

Janne Hänninen is a restless and curious creative director and the founding partner of Agency Leroy – a Helsinki based creative agency for ambitious brands. He has graduated from Aalto University department of Arts. Janne is an awarded designer and has worked for some of the most interesting brands in Finland, including Iittala, The National Museum of Finland, Minna Parikka and Fiskars, just to name a few. Janne is also the creative force behind the independent food publication Leon – an experimental platform fulfilling the contemporary appetite. Together with his team, he is currently developing a new visual framework for an exhibition series.

  • What is the Nordic Creative Talent Award?

    The Adobe Nordic Creative Talent Award was founded in 2014 by Adobe Nordic and the Swedish magazine CAP&Design to find and draw attention to the most creative talents under the age of 28 from Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. These young people will challenge, develop and change creative processes and, in turn, the entire creative industry in the future.

  • How does it work?

    Anyone can nominate a young talent practizing in the fields of design, graphic design, digital art, photography, video, motion graphics or web design for this award. A jury will select two winners from each country.

  • The jury process

    The jury, which sits a calendar year, consists of four members – one from each country – and a chairman. All five are professionals who are active in the industry. The chairmanship rotates between the countries once a year. Adobe Nordic and CAP&Design select the jury. Before every jury meeting, each country’s jury member shortlists the nominees from that country in order to keep the number of contributions to discuss and vote on at a manageable level.

    The jury will consider the following criteria when evaluating the entries:

    • - Craftsmanship
    • – Uniqueness and level of innovation
    • – Aesthetic value

    The winners of the Nordic Creative Talent Award will be announced at Adobe Nordic’s event Creative Meet Up.

  • Responsibility and Publishing

    As organizers, Adobe Nordic and CAP&Design are responsible for the competition's rules and execution. The jury is independently responsible for evaluating the entries received. Each contributor is responsible for the accuracy of the submitted information, that the entry meets the rules of the contest and that it is eligible for submission. The winners' work/portfolios will be published in Adobe Nordic’s and CAP&Design’s media channels and may be used to promote future competitions.
